Matt Golightly

Since graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002 with a degree in Communications, Matt Golightly resisted the urge to take a nine-to-five job and turned his, at one-time hobby, and true love - stand-up comedy - into a career. His takes on dating, the club scene, politics, and popular culture strike a comedic nerve with audiences of all ages. No angst, no angry rants, just good clean fun from this self-proclaimed “square.” His personable and likeable stage presence has taken him to clubs and college campuses all over Texas and the southwest United States.

Matt has been seen on Fox TV and can also be heard providing color-commentary during high-school football season along the Texas Sports Radio Network and frequently writes for the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs website. He most recently returned from the west coast where he participated in the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition.
